New Fire Conference is a gathering for clergy and lay leaders committed to renewal in our local churches and throughout the United Methodist connection. Building upon the legacy of the Great Fifty Day Challenge Retreat, this event broadens our focus to explore the Spirit’s renewing work across the life of the Church.

We will meet in a beautiful beach setting at Embassy Suites, Miramar Beach, Florida, beginning Wednesday, February 25 at 4:00 p.m. and concluding Friday, February 27 at noon.

This conference will feature inspiring presentations by members of our annual conference and meaningful conversation around topics such as:

The New Fire Conference is intentionally designed as a small, retreat-style gathering in order to create an experience that fosters connection, renewal, and meaningful conversation among leaders, offering a more personal and conversational atmosphere than a large convention. Our hope is to create space for authentic connection, deep listening, and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit among friends in ministry who are interested in what it means to lead in the new UMC. Please help us spread the word and invite other leaders who share this passion for resurrection and renewal.

New Fire is a movement of friends ignited by the Holy Spirit, dedicated to the resurrecting work of the Triune God within the local church, the United Methodist Church, and the Church universal. Inspired by the “new fire” that sparks the Easter Vigil, and symbolized in Methodism by the cross and flame, we believe now is the time for a fresh fire of renewal.
